I’m an award-winning image maker specializing in advertising and editorial in New York City and Atlanta. My clients include Lifetime TV, Travel & Leisure, Atlanta magazine, and Focus Brands. I’ve also exhibited work in galleries such as MOCA GA and Gallery 151 in NYC.
Thanks to my mom’s job as a theater director in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, I grew up immersed in the arts. I discovered digital photography was my perfect combination of art and science at Penn State, where I got bachelor degrees in integrated arts and cognitive psychology in 2000. I moved to Atlanta for my first catalog-shooting job, then assisted some amazing photographers. Lots of international travel when I was young led to a passion for location work today—my favorite shoots are in vast outdoor settings where I can explore with my lens how we live on this earth. But as a highly technical photographer, I’m also skilled at lighting and making productions run smoothly in the studio.
I started my own digital capture and postproduction studio, Burn Photo, in Atlanta in 2003. Through Burn, which I relocated to Brooklyn in 2009, I partner with top-tier artists and clients such as Showtime, Conde Nast, and Credit Suisse on technical and creative content services such as gear rental, on-set composites, retouching, and 360s for VR. My post skills make me unique as a photographer, because I can deliver final images to clients.
